Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Traffic Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of hourly traffic department staff, auditing logs, maintaining DOT files, and ensuring on-time deliveries. You will direct drivers, plan routes, and manage safety and security of people and resources.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and can work nontraditional hours. Excellent communication and MS Office skills are required; a strong safety culture is essential to success

Qualifications

• Be a safety champion promoting a safe and productive workplace.
• Knowledge of Department Of Transportation rules and regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DOT files and records on all drivers.
• Process and maintain drivers' payroll files.
• Audit daily logs and on-time deliveries.
• Plan work assignments and equipment to meet transportation goals.
• Direct workers in transportation or related services.
• Review orders and shipping notices to determine work sequences.
• Dispatch personnel and vehicles in response to emergencies.
• Assist in planning transportation routes.
• Ensure safety of the department and loss prevention.
