Job summary

City of Odessa, Texas is seeking a reliable Traffic Sign Installer to perform basic labor tasks installing traffic control signs and painting pavement markings on City streets under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating vehicles and equipment, assisting in sign fabrication, and maintaining safety practices while supporting department operations and public safety.

A Texas State Driver's License is required. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Salary: $18.00–$22.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Some related outdoor work experience is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of basic traffic control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Installs traffic control signs and paints pavement markings following safety rules.
• Assists in fabrication of traffic signs and maintains equipment.
• Follows safety precautions and reports unsafe conditions.
• Maintains attendance and supports department operations.
• Interacts with the public and City staff with courtesy and professionalism.
