Job summary

The City of Everett seeks a Traffic Operations Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of street lights, traffic signals, pavement markings, and signage. This role ensures safe and efficient traffic flow across city streets.

The successful candidate will supervise a team of regular and seasonal staff, coordinate with the City Traffic Engineer, and ensure compliance with electrical trade practices while inspecting completed projects and reviewing reports.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational school diploma plus three years of journey-level electrical experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience or training in related field.
• Extensive experience with installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of traffic control signals, pavement markings and signage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and operations of street lights, traffic signals, pavement markings and signage.
• Oversee manufacture, erection, and maintenance of traffic control devices and related electrical equipment.
• Inspect completed projects and review reports; supervise staff including regular and seasonal employees.
• Coordinate with City Traffic Engineer and use independent judgment in daily operations.
