Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent experience in electrical/electronics repair or land mobile radio/microwave equipment repair.
• Substitution options: journeyman electrician license; 1080 clock-hour vocational program; associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology.
• A valid driver’s license required; CDL must be obtained within four months of employment.
• Travel statewide and exposure to adverse weather/hazardous environments may occur.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems and highway illumination equipment.
• Travel statewide as required.
• Work under general supervision as part of the Signals Unit of the Traffic Engineering Division.
