Job summary

LMJ Pavement Marking in Benson, NC is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Technician to install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems and related equipment. This hands-on role keeps roads safe and traffic operations efficient.

Candidates should have experience with MUTCD guidelines, be able to read electrical schematics, and be comfortable working at heights and near active traffic. CDL preferred and IMSA Level I certification preferred.

About the Role:

LMJ Pavement Marking is looking for a skilled Traffic Signal Technician to join our team in Benson, NC. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a critical part in keeping roads safe and traffic systems running smoothly. Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems, controllers, and related equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on signal infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with traffic control devices
• Coordinate with local municipalities and transportation departments on signal timing and operations
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with MUTCD standards and local regulations
• Operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and other specialized equipment safely
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections

Requirements:

• Prior experience in traffic signal installation, maintenance, or a related electrical field
• Knowledge of MUTCD guidelines and traffic control standards
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• IMSA Traffic Signal Technician certification (Level I or higher) preferred
• Comfortable working at heights, in all weather conditions, and near active traffic
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
