Qualifications

• Experience working with traffic signal systems required.
• Must possess strong technical skills for installation and maintenance.
• Good understanding of traffic signal control systems essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain traffic signal vehicle detection camera systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair camera systems and signal controllers.
• Collaborate with vendors and governmental agencies on system issues.
• Respond to emergency situations and work flexible hours as needed.

Skills

Working knowledge of Gridsmart and Iteris camera systems

Proficiency in installing and testing CAT5 cable and RJ-45 connectors

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to work safely in traffic environments

Good communication skills

Flexibility to respond to emergency situations

Experience with traffic signals in a VDOT or municipal environment

Knowledge of ATC (Advanced Traffic Controllers)
