Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot traffic signal systems for safe, efficient flow. You will work with electrical components and communicate with engineering teams on upgrades.

The role requires IMSA Level II certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. Bonus eligibility applies, and travel to project sites may be needed to support VDOT and city intersections.

Qualifications

• Must possess an IMSA Level II certification as a minimum.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.
• Strong communication with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems including lights and pedestrian signals.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, timing problems, and communication failures.
• Program and adjust traffic signal timing to optimize flow and minimize congestion.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to implement upgrades and modifications.
• Respond to emergencies and travel to project sites as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and traffic control procedures.
