Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a Traffic Signal Inspector to join our West Columbia team. You will inspect signal installations, monitor construction, document quantities, and ensure compliance with SCDOT standards on transportation projects.
The role requires strong math and MS Office skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The role involves moderate physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders. Employees may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds. It is essential for employees to navigate construction sites skillfully and conduct thorough inspections of materials and structures. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects, and proficiency in recognizing sound, tone, and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow, as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods. Employees must be capable of working in varied environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and noisy settings, and be able to stand and walk during site visits. Additionally, working on construction projects may involve night work and weekend work depending on the project scope and may include working in conditions with active traffic.
The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule. Night and weekend work may be required.
