Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors to support roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects along the Georgia and South Carolina coast.
Georgia: ART, EDBT, Concrete Technician I & II, Work Zone Traffic Control, ACI Field Testing Technician
South Carolina: Concrete Technician, Asphalt Roadway Technician, Earthwork & Base Technician, Foundations Certification, Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification
This position requires regular field work on active construction sites, including standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Night and weekend work may be required based on project schedules.
For positions involving field work, completion of OSHA 10 certification is required as a condition of employment. New hires without current certification must complete the training within two weeks of hire. ICE will provide the training and cover associated costs.
The role involves moderate physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders. Employees may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Employees must have the ability to visually discern details and colors, recognize sound, tone, and pitch, and maintain clear verbal and written communication. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow and the ability to sit for extended periods. Employees must be capable of working in varied environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and noisy settings, and be able to stand and walk during site visits. Night work and weekend work may be required.
The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work schedule will vary according to the project schedule – night work and weekend work are required as the schedule demands.
