Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking a diligent Groundman to support installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals and ITS infrastructure. This hands-on role involves outdoor field work, excavation, concrete work, and equipment operation across various roadway projects.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in construction or utility work, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety. The position includes rotating on-call duties and close teamwork with technicians and foremen.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction practices and safety rules.
• Experience in utility or roadway construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals, street lighting, ITS equipment, CCTV cameras, and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Maintain street-level assets including controller cabinets, pull boxes, handholes, poles, conduits, and electrical equipment.
• Excavate, trench, backfill, and restore project sites with hand tools and equipment.
• Pull cable, fiber optics, and conduit for traffic signal projects.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete equipment.
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete for foundations and bases.
• Assist with traffic signal head assembly and pole installations.
• Record work activities and safety observations.
