Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Project Manager to join our Traffic & ITS Team in Columbia, SC. Lead complex transportation projects, collaborate with clients, and guide project teams to deliver safe and efficient mobility solutions.

The role requires a PE license, Civil Engineering degree, and extensive experience in traffic studies and signal design, with strong QA/QC and communication skills for a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required, including 2 years of project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Expert knowledge of Traffic Studies Analysis and Signal Design with best-practices application.
• Advanced proficiency with MicroStation and Synchro (v10+) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage Traffic & ITS transportation projects from development through completion, delivering safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, budget, and schedule, and serve as a primary client contact.
• Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation with clients and subcontractors.
• Lead project financials, subcontractor payments, and monthly review meetings with operations.
• Develop project-specific health and safety plans and ensure QA/QC compliance as per the Quality Management Plan.
• Communicate updates clearly to clients, management, and project teams for timely completion.
