RK&K is seeking a Traffic Project Engineer to support a variety of transportation projects for state and local agencies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop practical solutions that improve safety, mobility, and transportation system performance.

The role covers traffic design, operations, safety, ITS, and multimodal analysis across urban, suburban, and rural environments, with hybrid work options in the Pittsburgh area.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Four or more years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience with traffic analysis and design software and applicable MUTCD standards.

Responsabilidades

• Perform traffic engineering analysis and design for signals, signing, pavement markings, and roadway improvements.
• Prepare engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, studies, and other project documentation.
• Analyze traffic operations, safety, and data to identify improvements and support recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
• Develop and review maintenance of traffic and work zone plans with consideration for all road users.
• Ensure deliverables meet applicable design standards and stay current with industry trends.
