Job summary

DLZ Corporation is seeking a Transportation Engineer – Traffic Operations to support Michigan traffic engineering. This role requires a PE with strong background in traffic analysis, modeling, and control design.

Responsibilities include performing traffic studies, developing traffic plans, and coordinating with MDOT projects. Successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 5-10 years of related experience, and knowledge of traffic software. Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Demonstrated experience with traffic analysis and modeling software.
• Ability to safely access and traverse construction sites in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead traffic engineering and traffic analysis for Michigan projects.
• Develop signal design, signing plans, and maintenance of traffic.
• Coordinate with roadway designers and project managers for MDOT integration.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and client progress reports.
• Assist in business development and proposal support for clients.
