Job summary

Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking a driven Professional Engineer (PE) to support the Traffic & ITS team in our offices across the region. You will lead design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to both technical execution and marketing efforts for transportation projects.

The role requires a PE license, 0–10 years of Traffic/ITS design experience, and a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all traffic-ITS concepts.

• Support project delivery and mentoring of junior staff.
• Assist Task Managers with project administration duties.
• Contribute to marketing efforts on smaller projects and proposals.
• Provide frequent peer reviews to engineers, designers, and technicians.

Purpose & Need

Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Professional Engineer (PE) to support and grow the Traffic & ITS team. This position is available in any of our offices. In this role, you'll apply your expertise in traffic and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to lead tasks, support project delivery, and mentor junior staff. You’ll contribute to both technical execution and marketing efforts across a range of transportation projects that directly impact safety and mobility in our communities. You’ll take ownership of design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support business development, and serve as a technical resource with minimal supervision. This position supports career growth and leadership within a firm committed to elevating both communities and its people.

What You’ll Do

• Demonstrate proficiency in all traffic-ITS concepts
• Often serves in role of (LTP), but typically under the responsible charge of a more senior PE
• Capable of leading marketing efforts for less complex projects
• Assist Task Managers in a variety of project administrative duties
• Assist Senior Engineers with marketing efforts on larger, more complex projects
• Directs Engineer Interns, designers, and technicians in completing traffic-ITS tasks, providing frequent peer reviews on their work
• Requires little-to-no technical supervision by senior staff
• Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor's expectations

What You’ll Need

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• 0 - 10 years of progressively more complex post-registration Traffic and/or ITS design experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
