Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a civil engineering internship student in Indianapolis to contribute to roadway design, alignment layout, and typical section development. You will gain hands-on experience with major projects and mentorship from senior engineers.

You will work with MicroStation/Geopak, AutoCAD, and related tools, expanding skills across bridge, roadway, and urban development efforts while preparing for a professional career in civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing one of the listed civil engineering disciplines.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the office location.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and try new things.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway designs, lay out alignments, and create typical sections, site assessments, and engineering report development.
• Perform 3D modeling and work with MicroStation/Geopak, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, OpenBridge, Merlin Dash, QuickBridge.
• Engage in projects such as roundabouts, bridge replacements and rehabilitations, urban and rural roads, and large interstate improvements.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Current student majoring in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey or Structural Engineering or other related programs with an emphasis on Civil Engineering


• Reliable transportation to and from office location


• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and try new things
