AECOM in Greenville, SC is seeking a Traffic/Safety Engineering Intern for an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on Oct 28-29, 2026. The role offers hands-on exposure to traffic engineering projects and mentoring from a dynamic team.

You will work with project managers and engineers on data analysis, studies, and preliminary designs, while developing skills in design, operations, and reporting.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Must have completed one year of study.

Responsabilités

• Assist Traffic Safety and Traffic Operations professionals as needed.
• Research and analyze vehicular and vulnerable road user crash data.
• Provide analysis to support development of design or operational ideas and solutions.
• Develop an awareness of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of studies, conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
• Communicate and collaborate in a team environment and adapt to dynamic project needs.

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on October 28-29, 2026.This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm,where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Raleigh office.This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, self-driven, motivated-to-learn Traffic/Safety Engineering Intern for employment in the Greenville, SC office. Imagine working on rewarding traffic/safety engineering projects within a diverse culture. You’ll receive exceptional training and mentoring from our dynamic team of transportation engineering professionals.

Working with project managers and lead engineers, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Traffic Safety and Traffic Operations professionals as needed.
• Research and analyze vehicular and vulnerable road user (pedestrian, bicyclist, personal conveyance device user, or worker in a work zone) crash data.
• Provide analysis to support development of design or operational ideas and solutions.
• Develop an awareness of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of studies, conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
• Communicate and collaborate in a team environment and adapt to dynamic project needs.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Must have completed one year of study.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and basic data science concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship assistance is not available for this position.
