Job summary
Kimley-Horn of DC is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of traffic engineering experience to join their Transportation/Traffic team in a non-remote role. You will perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation planning, ITS projects, and safety analyses, while mentoring others and contributing to marketing and business development.
Base salary ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 per year.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of traffic engineering experience
- ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters)
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software
- Excellent technical writing skills and clear communication
- Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and in a team
Responsibilities
- Perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation projects
- Entrepreneurial spirit and growth of personal practice within the team
- Assist with managing projects profitably
- Hands-on project delivery and transition work to qualified staff
- Lead and mentor team members
- Contribute to marketing and business development efforts
