Job Description

Olsson’s Rail Traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for services such as traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety design, traffic operations studies, and other related services. As a Traffic Engineer for the Rail Traffic team, you will assist with traffic and preemption analysis/design, perform site visits, assist with plan or study preparation, and work closely with others on complex projects.

Olsson currently has one opportunity for a Traffic Engineer to support our Rail Traffic team. This role offers flexible work options, including remote and hybrid opportunities, to accommodate diverse working preferences and promote work-life balance. Candidates can work hybrid schedules, work remotely, or work out of any Olsson office location in Irvine, CA, Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Loveland, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, and Utah - Remote.

You Bring To The Team

  • 2-4 years of traffic or transportation engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineering Intern Certificate (EI) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar software)
  • Proficiency in Synchro (or similar software)
  • Strong problem-solving and math skills

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.

Colorado Pay Range

$77,000 - $113,000 USD

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.

California Pay Range

$88,000 - $116,000 USD
