Company Overview:

Endesco, Inc. (www.endescoinc.com), an award-winning certified DBE/MBE/SBE civil engineering firm in the metro Washington DC area, established in 1997, is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Traffic Engineer (2-3 years of experience) to join our team in the Metro DC area. The selected candidate will support our clients’ efforts by working as an on-site consultant at MDOT State Highway Administration District 5 office in Annapolis, MD, with a hybrid work schedule requiring two days on-site each week. The role involves performing traffic engineering services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations, perform traffic analysis, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to external and internal customers.
  • Review, verify, and comment on technical traffic engineering reports and design plans to ensure compliance with MDOT and local standards.
  • Review Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), conduct capacity checks, provide comments on development recommendations, liaise with highway design teams and developers, prepare Design Requests, perform quality control of off-site staff work, and review designs.
  • Manage workflow of off-site tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred), with specialization in Transportation, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required; more years preferred.
  • EIT license required; PE license preferred.
  • Familiarity with MUTCD, ADA guidelines, and tools such as Synchro, MicroStation, Highway Capacity Software, Highway Safety Manual, etc.
