HDR, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Traffic Engineer to lead complex traffic engineering projects, including signal plans and traffic impact analyses. You will apply engineering judgment and serve as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree, and hands-on experience with CAD tools (MicroStation/AutoCAD) and traffic modeling (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun). Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE).
• Hands-on experience with CAD platforms including MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun.
• Hands-on experience with safety software including Highway Safety Software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

• Perform complex traffic engineering projects, prepare signal plans, traffic impact analyses and PS&E documents.
• Make decisions on design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Serve as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.
