Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $88,000.00 Salary

Traffic Engineer - Entry Level

Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Engineer with 0-3 yrs. experience to join our growing Transportation Department in our Cherry Hill, NJ office. In this role, you will work as part of an experienced design team supporting our traffic design practice in NJ, PA and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Develop traffic data collection plans including turning movement counts (TMC), automatic traffic recorders (ATR), queue counts, and travel time runs. Responsibility will include overseeing the field data collection ATR & TMC efforts by subconsultants and completing travel time runs.
• Perform traffic analysis and design for traffic and other transportation related projects using software including Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS and SIDRA.
• Perform transportation safety assessments using the Highway Safety Manual (HSM) including Crash Modification Factors (CMF) Clearinghouse.
• Perform engineering design tasks for transportation projects from concept development to preliminary and final design, including traffic and electrical signal plans, signing, pavement markings, ITS, and maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT).
• Provide input into technical reports including traffic impact studies, concept development reports, and preliminary/final engineering reports.
• Work with project teams to perform quality work within established budgets and schedule requirements.

Requirements :

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Software Skills: MS Office and MS Excel with Synchro, HCS, Autocad or Microstation experience being preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• At least one internship in the field of civil engineering preferred.
• EIT preferred.
