Job summary

JMC is seeking a Traffic Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience near Westchester County, NY. Responsibilities include traffic engineering, highway improvements, signal design, and studies, with client and government meetings.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree; EIT or PE is a plus, AutoCAD experience, and knowledge of Synchro. Strong writing, communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Candidate with EIT/PE registration is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and traffic analysis software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Traffic and Transportation Engineering including Highway Improvement Plant Design.
• Traffic Signal Plan Design and Traffic/Parking Studies.
• Attend technical meetings with clients and government officials.
• Participate in project public meetings.
• Support Site Planning, Civil/Site Design and technical report preparation.
• Assist with grading, drainage, and utility design.
• Contribute to SWPPP, erosion control plans, and GIS mapping.

Job description

JMC, a leading Site Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture and Land Surveying firm in Westchester County, NY, seeks motivated Traffic Engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our team as an Traffic Engineer.

Responsibilities of the position include :

• Traffic and Transportation Engineering that includes:
  • Highway Improvement Plant Design
  • Traffic Signal Plan Design
  • Traffic and Parking Studies
• Attend Technical Meetings with Clients and Government Officials
• Attend Project Public Meetings
• Also preferred knowledge of:
  • Site Planning
  • Civil/Site Design and Preparation of Site
  • Preparation of Technical Reports
  • Grading and Drainage Design
  • Utility Design, including public and private sewer and water systems
  • Stormwater Management and SWPPP Preparation, including erosion control plans
  • GIS Mapping
