Job summary

City & Borough of Sitka Alaska seeks a Traffic Officer to enforce state and local traffic laws, respond to accidents, and conduct traffic stops. You will work under the Administrative Division Major and coordinate with patrol and other divisions.

You may participate in training programs, assist with school zones, and support other officers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent diploma.
• Non-probationary status.
• Performance evaluations for at least one year prior to testing date.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and pedestrians during peak times and events.
• Investigate traffic accidents and prepare reports.
