Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Traffic Design Engineer in Boca Raton, FL to lead roadway improvement projects for DOT and municipal clients. Responsibilities include signing and pavement markings design, signalization, lighting, and ITS plans, plus traffic signal analysis using Synchro.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and PE registration or ability to obtain. Impressive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • PE Registration preferred or ability to obtain.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation and Synchro.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Project Engineer and help with design of Signing and Pavement Markings, Signalization, Lighting, and ITS Plans.
  • Perform Traffic Signal Analysis in Synchro software.
  • Help with crash analysis as part of the marketing effort.
  • Contributing to the growth of the Traffic team by supporting the pursuit of additional projects

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 / year

As a Traffic Design Engineer, your primary focus will pertain to DOT and municipal roadway improvement projects.

Your engineering assignments may include signal and intelligent transportation systems design, Advanced Traffic Management System operations, Active Arterial Management, signal retiming studies, safety studies, signing, pavement marking, work zone traffic control, operational analyses for isolated intersections, complex arterial networks, and freeways.
