Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage driver coordination and traffic office activities, ensuring service, availability and productivity while controlling costs. The role involves ensuring accurate scheduling, load merging, and carrier coordination across Sales.

Candidates should have knowledge of DOT requirements, strong communication and computer skills; familiarity with Eniteo is a plus. This position is based in Houston and supports daily logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT requirements and functions relating to ground transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Overall computer skills and MS Office familiarity.
• DOT knowledge preferred.
• Ability to learn Eniteo and related computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage order queues and merge for allocation of loaded inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies from delivery stops and BOLs with drivers by checking stock and locations.
• Follow up on inaccurate BOLs to determine where discrepancy occurred and rectify.
• Determine rates for outside haulers daily using freight accrual report.
• Create pre-receiving verifications for Buy-Out material and use reports to generate loads.
• Review shipping logs and inbound status to ensure proper scheduling.

Job Function

• Responsible for the Que and Merge of orders generated and received from Sales Department for allocation of loaded inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies from delivery stops and BOLs with drivers by checking stock and locations
• Follow up on inaccurate BOL’s to determine where discrepancy occurred and take appropriate steps to rectify.
• Determine rates for outside haulers daily with use of freight accrual report.
• Create Pre-Receiving verifications for Buy-Out material as well as utilizing Material Reservation Reports along with pre-receiving sheets to generate load with correct materials.
• Review pending workloads and receive inbound status through Receiving Log to ensure proper scheduling and processing of deliveries.
• Commit Inventory by submitting verification forms and update inventory on hands.
• Daily review of cut and processing schedule to determine completed, cut, or needed material on outbound loads.
• Que and Merge PPOs to be sent for special orders.
• Track transportation inventory such as equipment, trailers, etc., and take appropriate next steps to locate any missing inventory.
• Set delivery times and communicate the completion times with drivers/carriers, and sales team.
• Manage carrier changes/find replacement drivers or trailer for drivers when appropriate
• Communication with sales regarding load issues or late deliveries every morning and throughout the day.
• Assign loads to Infra drivers and coordinating remaining loads with outside carriers/brokers.
• Coordinate returned goods (RMA) by using Shipping Log to schedule driver pickups and return to plant for disposition.
• Que and Merge loads and create pick list for following day to post on shipping board.
• Complete daily Shipping Log and communicate via email with Sales Department.
• Reconcile all delivery and month end reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee ELF for compliance of Federal Regulations.
• Review all Smart Drive safety alters to ensure safety best practices are being followed. Follow up with drivers on status of alerts.
• Assists and gives input on annual employee performance reviews for department personnel.
• Assist warehouse with Tag and or heat verification
• Verify stock in Eniteo for warehouse personnel
• Performs appropriate coaching of department employees, including reprimands and/or disciplinary

actions as required, in accordance with company policy.
