Job summary

Pro-Energy-Services-Group-Llc. in Longmont, CO is seeking a Traffic Control Trainee to support roadway operations. You will assist with setup, movement of equipment, and maintaining safe roadway conditions, performing entry-level traffic control support tasks.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Candidate should possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Ability to read and understand traffic control instructions and plans.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and regulations on all work zones and traffic control sites.
• Holds designated closed roadway points without directing or delineating traffic.
• Place, move, and remove cones, signage, delineators, arrow boards, lighting, and barriers.
• Drive traffic control equipment and materials to and from jobsites.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize traffic control materials and supplies.
• Assist with traffic control setup and breakdown activities.
• Move equipment and maintain inventory of traffic control supplies at yards and project locations.
• Assist in preparing roadway conditions to restore normal safe operating conditions.
• Complete required documentation and reports timely and accurately.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in safe operating condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Traffic Control Trainee

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is to support roadway and traffic control operations by assisting with traffic control setup, movement of equipment and materials, and maintaining safe roadway conditions. This position performs entry-level traffic control support activities

Example of Duties:

• Follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and traffic control sites.
• Holds designated closed roadway points without directing or delineating traffic.
• Places, moves, and removes cones, signage, delineators, arrow boards, lighting, and barriers associated with traffic control operations.
• Drives traffic control equipment and materials to and from jobsites.
• Loads, unloads, stages, and organizes traffic control materials and supplies.
• Assists with traffic control setup and breakdown activities.
• Moves equipment and maintains inventory of traffic control supplies at yard and project locations.
• Assists in preparing roadway conditions to restore normal safe operating conditions.
• Completes required documentation and reports timely and accurately.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in safe operating condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to safely move and handle traffic control equipment and materials.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods outdoors.

• Available to respond to work assignments including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Travel overnight on a minimal basis.

Experience/Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Possession of a valid driver's license, Class C, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier.
