Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking an experienced Traffic Control / TMA Driver to support district-wide signing operations across the Atlanta metro area. The role focuses on maintaining safe work zones on interstates and state routes during highway sign projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with traffic control (single & double lane closures) required.
• Attenuator/TMA truck operation experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License (Class C) with ability to obtain Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to obtain ATSSA Traffic Control Certification.
• Strong roadway safety awareness and work zone procedures.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work in fast-paced highway environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain lane closures per traffic control plans.
• Operate attenuator (crash) trucks to protect crews on active roadways.
• Perform traffic control duties including cones, signage and lane shifts.
• Assist highway sign crew with installation and maintenance of roadway signage.
• Drive and operate company vehicles safely in high-traffic environments.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment checks.
• Ensure all work zones meet DOT safety standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to maintain safe operations.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours work as required.
