Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services in the Atlanta area seeks an experienced Traffic Control / TMA Driver to support district-wide signing operations. You will help maintain safe work zones on interstates and state routes during highway sign installation projects.

The role requires setting up lane closures, operating attenuator trucks, and performing traffic control tasks while upholding DOT safety standards. Candidates should have a valid license and be prepared for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with traffic control (single & double lane closures) required.
• Attenuator (TMA) truck operation experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class C minimum; Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to obtain Traffic Control Certification (ATSSA or equivalent)
• Strong awareness of roadway safety and work zone procedures

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain single-lane and double-lane closures in accordance with traffic control plans.
• Operate attenuator (crash) trucks to protect crews on active roadways.
• Perform traffic control duties including cone placement, signage setup, and lane shifts.
• Assist highway sign crew with installation and maintenance of roadway signage as needed.
• Drive and operate company vehicles safely in high-traffic environments.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment checks.
• Ensure all work zones meet DOT safety standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours work as required

Job Description
