Job summary

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years in traffic control related to signs and markings, a Florida driver’s license, and IMSA Level II certification or the ability to obtain within one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Traffic Control Technician.
• Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "E" driver's license.
• Signage-related IMSA Level II certification preferred or obtainable within one year of employment.
• Direct experience in public sector agencies or public works is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage and complete field projects including roadway striping and signing operations.
• Schedule and perform regular maintenance activities related to pavement markings and street signs.
• Prepare design layouts for street signs using standard or special designs.
• Operate the Sign Maker System and related equipment.
• Perform after hour on-call emergency duty for bridge and traffic control.
