Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on a roadway construction project, ensuring safe and efficient movement of the public within a designated work zone.

Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, coordinating with on-site staff, loading equipment, and completing daily reports. Candidates should have 2 years MOT/TTC experience, a HS diploma, and MOT certification if possible.

Qualifications

• 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED is required; communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Advanced MOT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, work-zone signs, and lights.
• Set up MOT activities including detours and lane closures.
• Coordinate with on-site client representatives or officials.
• Load and unload equipment from company trucks.
• Deliver/Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites.
• Coordinate activities of laborers to ensure MOT guidelines compliance.
• Provide recommendations on conditions to coordinate traffic maintenance procedures.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor.
• If approved driver, operate a company vehicle and maintain satisfactory MV records.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
