ViaSun Corporation is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to safely set up, operate, and remove temporary traffic control systems on active job sites. You will protect workers and the traveling public while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This field-based role requires physical activity, good communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. We offer ESOP participation, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Competenze

• Must have Traffic Control Technician (TCT) or ATSSA certification.
• Experience in traffic control, construction, or roadway work zones.
• Familiarity with MUTCD standards and traffic control practices.

Mansioni

• Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barricades, arrow boards, and message boards.
• Direct traffic using flagging techniques in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.
• Adjust traffic control setups as needed based on site conditions and supervisor direction.
• Ensure all setups comply with federal, state, and local regulations; conduct daily safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate documentation of traffic control setups, inspections, and incidents.

Position Overview

The Traffic Control Technician is responsible for the safe and effective setup, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control systems on active job sites.

This role plays a critical part in protecting workers, the traveling public, and ensuring compliance with all applicable traffic control regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Traffic Control Setup & Operations

• Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barricades, arrow boards, and message boards
• Direct traffic using proper flagging techniques in accordance with MUTCD guidelines
• Adjust traffic control setups as needed based on site conditions and supervisor direction

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all traffic control setups comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct daily safety inspections to verify effectiveness and compliance
• Maintain safe work zones for crews, motorists, and pedestrians
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project teams
• Interact professionally with the traveling public and emergency responders
• Respond promptly to changing conditions, incidents, or emergency situations

Documentation & Accountability

• Maintain accurate documentation of traffic control setups, inspections, and incidents
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
