Job summary

D&J Construction Company is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to oversee and maintain safe traffic patterns around construction zones. You will implement and monitor控制 traffic measures, handle equipment, and work closely with crews to ensure safety and compliance on job sites.

The role includes performing laborer duties with construction crews when instructed. Applicants should be prepared for daytime shifts, potential night shifts, and occasional overtime, with a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

• Prior traffic control or flagging experience preferred.
• Ability to operate company trucks safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of traffic control measures, devices and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working outdoors in high-traffic construction zones.
• Able to stand for long shifts and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work day shifts, with possible nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and oversee traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, signs, arrow boards, and temporary traffic lights.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment to transport traffic control materials to and from job sites.
• Monitor and adjust traffic patterns and control measures as necessary.
• Report incidents or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Inspect and maintain traffic control equipment to keep it in good working condition.
• Collaborate with crew members to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform routine shop maintenance and repairs on traffic control equipment.
• Follow temporary traffic control plans and flagging operations.
• Monitor flagging stations to ensure pedestrian and vehicle safety.
• Maintain records and documentation for daily tasks and project activities.
• Participate in all phases of highway construction when instructed.
• Prepare and clean up job sites; use hand tools like shovels, rakes, brooms.
