Job summary

Barricades Unlimited in Midland, TX is seeking a Traffic Control Tech I to support field operations. This non-supervisory role focuses on safety, quality and efficiency under the Traffic Control Crew Chief.

The job requires high school diploma, valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with opportunities for ATSSA certification within 24 months. Work hours are full-time, with potential for extended days and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid state driver's license in good standing.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience: none required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the Warehouse and be prepared to work at the beginning of the shift.
• Follow work instructions to ensure consistent service and product quality.
• Recommend measures to improve efficiency, service quality, product quality, and safety.
• Maintain all work areas, vehicles and work sites in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Load and unload materials and equipment on site.
• Notify Traffic Control Crew Chief or Field Barricade Supervisor of any quality or safety related concerns.
• Keep Traffic Control Crew Chief informed on ongoing activities.
• Demonstrate initiative by evaluating situations, making decisions based on facts and solid judgments.
• Act in a manner that represents the professional manner reflecting the company’s values and principles.
• Maintain a cooperative working relationship with employees.
• Constantly look for and suggest ways to perform duties and responsibilities more effectively, what we call ‘Act Like an Owner.”
• Perform duties in a manner that is compliant with all applicable regulatory bodies, i.e. Texas DOT.
• Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the Traffic Control Crew Chief or Traffic Control Operations Manager
