Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor in Philadelphia, PA. The role oversees temporary traffic control in work zones, directs teams, and ensures safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include operating trucks, setting up signs and cones, and coordinating equipment and personnel across statewide projects. Must meet ATSSA TCS training requirements and pass background/drug tests.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Must complete ATSSA TCS intermediate training.
• Background check including motor vehicle records.
• Drug test and DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear (boots, hard hat, glasses, vest).
• Read and follow road signs, complete paperwork, know federal/state motor carrier safety regs.
• Read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to access projects and worksites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards.
• Set up traffic cones and safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone and maintain equipment.
• Load traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
