Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Specialist to support Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) operations on highway and bridge projects. The role involves setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, assisting with lane closures, and ensuring compliance with TCPs and DOT requirements.

The candidate should be able to read roadway plans and TCPs, communicate in English or Spanish, and work safely in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MOT procedures, traffic control practices, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret TCPs and signing plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices and work zone setups.
• Mark construction zones for striping, lane closures, and barrier installations.
• Set up and remove lane closures per TCPs and project schedules.
• Deliver, position, and maintain message boards, signs, and MOT equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize MOT devices and materials.
• Assist with inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor work zones to maintain public and worker safety.
• Coordinate activities with MOT Supervisors, inspectors, and project teams.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
