Job summary

Lamar Consolidated ISD in Rosenberg, Texas, seeks a Parking Lot Monitor to maintain order in high school parking areas. The role involves supervising parking lots before, during, and after school and engaging with students about rules.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor parking lots before, during and after school.
• Communicate with high school age students regarding parking lot rules.
• Notify Principal or security when serious infractions occur.
• Keep Principal informed of potential problems.
• Attendance at work is an essential function.
• Perform other duties as assigned by campus Principal.

EXPERIENCE:

• Two years of successful work experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Eligible for coverage under the District’s vehicle insurance program

Special Knowledge Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to maintain high standards of conduct in dealing with students, employees and visitors
• Ability to adhere to rules and regulations to prevent temporary disabling injuries to self and others

OTHER INFORMATION:

Equipment Used: Telephone and radio. Working Conditions: Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Walking (8 hours per day), standing (8 hours per day), driving (8 hours per day), use hands to manipulate items used on job, specific visual requirements (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, judge distance, close/distant vision), specific hearing requirements (telephone and oral conversations). Outside, constant exposure to inclement weather conditions.
