Job summary

ACCIONA is leading the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Atlanta, overseeing TTC/MOT operations for a major highway initiative. The Traffic Control Manager will coordinate with GDOT, law enforcement, and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant traffic management across multiple phases.

The ideal candidate brings a PE license, 7–10 years of traffic-management experience, ATSSA TCS certification, and strong leadership and communication skills. OSHA 30-hour and P3/Design-Build exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience overseeing traffic management and TCPs on large highway/DOT projects.
• Valid ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification or equivalent; GDOT certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of MUTCD, GDOT Standards, and local permitting processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple traffic operations in a dynamic construction environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in traffic simulation software, Primavera P6, and MS Office.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience on P3 or Design-Build highway projects.
• Familiarity with urban express lane construction and complex staging.
• OSHA 30-hour certification

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor TCPs in compliance with Georgia DOT, MUTCD, and local standards.
• Coordinate with GDOT, law enforcement, subcontractors, utility companies, and local stakeholders.
• Supervise traffic control crews and subcontractors to ensure correct deployment of signage and flaggers.
• Schedule and manage lane closures, detours, and shift changes to maintain safe traffic flow.
• Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, incident reports, and equipment usage logs.
• Review construction schedules and work plans to anticipate and mitigate disruptions.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with TCPs and rectify issues proactively.
• Manage and maintain inventory of traffic control devices and equipment.
• Train team members and subcontractors on traffic safety procedures and compliance expectations.
