Job summary

High Star Traffic is seeking a Laborer to perform flagging, traffic control and pavement marking in work zones, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2–4 years of experience, a valid For-Hire license endorsement with DOT physical, and proven traffic control or highway construction experience. Travel to off-site locations may be required. You will also assist with material deliveries and support various projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have traffic control or highway construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety rules and regulations on and in all work zones and flagging sites, including placing signage, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices.
• Operates company vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and laws.
• Maintains routine equipment and performs daily inspections.
• Prepares trip sheets and maintains accurate records.
• Performs tasks in the interest of public safety and property and the motoring public.
• Responds to emergencies as directed by supervisors.
• Notifies supervisors of emergencies, accidents, and incidents.
• May assist with delivery of materials to worksites or client locations.
• Engages in other projects that drive organizational goals and results.
