Job summary

AWP Safety is America’s leading traffic management company seeking a Protector to join on-site teams. No experience or degree is required; we provide safety training and ongoing support.

Your daily duties include setting up cones, signs and barricades, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and keeping vehicles and equipment safe. You’ll work outdoors year-round, with some nights or weekends, and receive safety gear and a paid training program.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside in all weather.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; shifts may include nights or weekends.
• Safety-focused and able to follow all training rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather; stand or walk 8-12 hours per shift.
• Shifts may change based on job needs; some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required.
