Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring an entry-level Protector to join our team at various job sites in the United States. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure safety rules are followed while working outdoors in all weather.

No experience or degree is required; we provide training and ongoing support to help you build a career in traffic safety. Expect flexible shifts, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Following all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicating with crew and supervisor.
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may change; some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
