Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is hiring a Protector to join a team at job sites. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and learn safety rules.

No experience or degree is needed; training is provided. You will work outdoors year-round in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends or emergency work. Protective gear is provided; you must bring steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take down traffic control equipment.
• Guide traffic with stop/slow paddle and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
• Receive protective gear and bring your own steel-toe boots.
