Job summary

WD Wright Contracting is seeking a Traffic Controller in Cumberland, MD for an entry-level role. The position offers on-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime. No experience is required to start, with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour.

You will work with construction teams to set up safe work zones, cones and barriers, and flag traffic under ATSSA and DOT guidelines. Training provided by the company certifies you for traffic safety and on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license preferred.
• Must have smartphone for timekeeping and communication.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove traffic control zones.
• Load and unload work zone equipment.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork before leaving the job site.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE per Wright policy.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean and report safety concerns.
• Review start time and job site address as scheduled by office.
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor.
• Other job duties as assigned.
