Job summary

Applicants must be at least 18, able to lift 30 lbs, and obtain a flagger certificate; we assist with the certification. Expect long hours outdoors in various weather, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be alert at all times.
• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Must stand where you are easily seen by motorists.
• Always stand while flagging/directing traffic.
• Use proper STOP/SLOW paddle signals.
• Stay compliant with safety gear/equipment.
• Cannot leave post unless properly relieved.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have valid Federally Accepted identity.
• Must be able to obtain a flagger certificate (assistance provided).

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic for road construction crews.
• Coordinate traffic flow with other flaggers using two-way radio or signals.
• Work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Maintain vigilance to ensure safety of motorists and workers.
• Operate as a team member or alone as required.
