Job summary

AWP Safety in Terre Haute, IN is seeking Protectors to join a field team at various job sites. No experience or degree is required; safety training is provided and advancement opportunities exist. You will set up traffic control, guide vehicles with stop/slow paddles, and follow safety rules.

The role is outdoors year-round with shifts including nights or weekends. We provide safety gear; you supply steel-toe boots; expect 8–12 hour shifts with overtime potential and pay increases in your first

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.

• Communicating with your crew and supervisor.
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required.
• You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
• We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle.

Additional Information

Pay:

• Pay: $17.25–$18.00 per hour
• Overtime available
• Pay increases in your first year
• Paid training and a traffic safety certificate
