Job summary

Trinity Group is seeking reliable workers to set up and oversee traffic control devices, operate company vehicles for moving materials, and monitor traffic patterns at varied construction sites in Louisiana. The role requires staying on feet long shifts, occasional nights and weekends, and performing light maintenance on gear.

Applicants must have a valid drivers license and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

  • Prior traffic control or flagging experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate company trucks safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of traffic control measures, devices, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Ability to remain standing for the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on traffic control equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and oversee traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, signs, arrow boards, and temporary traffic lights.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment to transport traffic control materials to and from job sites.
  • Monitor and adjust traffic patterns and control measures as necessary.
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure all items remain in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with construction crew members and supervisors to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of traffic control equipment in the shop as needed.
  • Execute tasks according to temporary traffic control plans and flagging operations.
  • Control and monitor flagging stations effectively to ensure pedestrian and vehicle safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to daily tasks and project activities.

Work hours primarily daytime shifts (10-12 hours) with occasional night shifts as required by projects.

Some weekend and overtime work may be necessary.

Must be comfortable working in high-traffic and active construction zones.
