Scope of Job:

The Driver is responsible for executing work orders in a timely manner and communicating with customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform stretch and flex exercises.
• Report to Dispatch to receive work orders.
• Contact customers to verify deliveries, load trucks as specified.
• Ensure loads are correctly strapped.
• Deliver equipment and set up work orders based on TXDOT and MUTCD standards.
• Get work order signed after completion.
• Report back to Dispatch for additional tasks.
• Refuel work trucks.
• Keep work trucks clean.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to perform daily tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to work with different crew members and on high-speed roads.
• Ability to read traffic control plans and communicate professionally with customers.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Light industrial work exerting up to 50 pounds, with visual acuity required for operation of equipment and vehicles.
• Environmental conditions may vary; hazards may include proximity to moving machinery, vehicles, electrical hazards, high heat, chemicals, and confined spaces.

Helper Role:

The Field Helper assists Drivers in executing work orders.

Helper Responsibilities:

• Perform stretch and flex exercises.
• Report to Dispatch for team information.
• Help load trucks, ensure correct loading.
• Assist in delivering and setting up work orders.
• Help keep trucks clean.
• Train with Drivers to learn the Driver responsibilities.

Helper Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Similar to Driver role, including working under pressure, on high-speed roads, and reading traffic plans.

Helper Physical Requirements:

• Medium exertion, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently.
• Environmental conditions similar to Driver role.

Additional Information:

• Entry level, full-time position in Construction industry.
