Spivey Services is a Virginia-based provider of traffic safety and sanitation services. The Traffic Control Assistant helps manage traffic around construction zones and events, sets up and removes devices, and ensures safety compliance for the public and crew.

The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, able to work in various weather conditions, and ready to grow from entry-level to long-term opportunities through ongoing training and support.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must have 0+ DMV driving points and a VA license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience driving large trucks (18'–24') non-CDL.

Position Overview

The Traffic Control Assistant supports safe and efficient traffic flow around construction zones, public events, or road maintenance sites. This role involves setting up and removing traffic control devices, directing vehicles and pedestrians, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and able to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on public and crew safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
• Must have “0 or Plus” DMV Driving Points along with a valid Virginia Driver’s License
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have truck driver experience with large trucks (18′ to 24′) non-CDL.
