Job summary

LoneStar Traffic Safety in Houston is hiring for a hard-working team member to support traffic control operations. The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a field environment.

You may work nights or weekends, travel occasionally with notice, and must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Our culture values safety, reliability, and a commitment to advancing industry knowledge while following supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as requested.
• Must be able to travel out of town as needed (infrequently), provided ample notice (48 hours) is given.
• Must have fine motor skills and hand dexterity (i.e., tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, filling out paperwork)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings
• Must be capable of following specific directions from supervisor
• Interested in improving industry knowledge
• Must exhibit good judgment in the field including safe work practices around live traffic and adhere to the company policies and procedures at all times
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must have the ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required
• Must have the ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements
• Must have a cooperative, team player attitude
• Must be able to follow other duties as assigned by management or trainers
