Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) seeks an Engineering-In-Training III, Traffic Construction, to supervise and support the construction management of multiple projects in the Denver area. The role involves applying engineering theories, preparing contract documents, and ensuring compliance with CDOT specifications and safety standards.

Under licensed supervision, you will monitor progress, manage changes, and ensure proper documentation and payments.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as an Engineer Intern with the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.
• One year of professional experience in an related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction operations to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Ensure safety best practices are followed and unsafe practices are addressed.
• Assist design engineers in constructability reviews.
• Prepare and approve monthly pay estimates and monitor project expenditures.
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local laws for federally funded projects.
