Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Wilmington, Illinois is seeking a dependable dock associate for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) with training on the 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The role involves compiling records, coordinating driver assignments, and ensuring accurate shipping/receiving documentation.

Shift Information

2nd shift – 3:00PM to 11:00PM, Monday‑Friday. Training will be on 1st shift – 6:00AM to 2:30PM.

Pay – $21.00 – $23.00 an hour.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Plan and direct driver assignments, checking them in, assigning their doors, and checking them out once the load is complete.
• Serve as the first point of contact for delivery drivers.
• May receive, count, and log cash received by carriers.
• Coordinate with warehouse and transportation to ensure shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and promptly.
• Verify and count products to confirm data accuracy in the system.
• Notify carriers and key team members of pending, no‑show, or unscheduled arrivals.
• Engage with drivers and reschedule appointments if necessary.
• Enter data into the warehouse management system (WMS) scheduler.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with general loading and unloading tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area.
• Participate in safety and compliance training.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from –20°F (–25°C) in cold storage to 100°F (37°C) in dry storage while wearing company‑provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• May be required to lift a minimum of 20lbs (9kg); weight may vary by facility.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.
• Comfortable with varying noise levels, which may sometimes be loud.

Pay Range

$16.97 – $28.65 per hour, depending on location and experience.
